Alvin Marrott Washburn, 70, long time resident and businessman, died Tuesday, March 10, 1992, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, in Provo.

Born May 15, 1921, in Duchesne, Utah, to A. Verd and Grace Marrott Washburn. He married Juna Christiansen June 15, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. They resided in Provo and Orem for 40 years. She died October 16, 1990. He owned and operated Washburn Motor Co. of Orem, with his wife and sons.He is survived by five children, Jerry C. Washburn, Shellee Gardiner, all of Orem; and Mark A. Washburn, Pleasant Grove; 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Neidhammer, Palm Desert, Calif.; Gloria Wright, Orem; and a brother, Paul Washburn, Pleasant Grove. Preceded in death by infant son, Michael.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, at 11 a.m. in the Provo Sharon East Stake Center, 1060 East 2400 No., Provo. Friends may call Thurs. from 7-9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State, Orem, and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the stake center. Burial, Provo City Cemetery.
