DEATH: VERN C. ECKERSLEY

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Vernon Carlos Eckersley, age 74, returned to his heavenly home March 13, 1992.

Born September 28, 1917, in Juniper, Idaho, to George Carlos and Rachel Rentmeister Eckersley. He married Louise Jorgensen on January 23, 1957 in Reno, Nevada. Vern didn't want any grandeur in his behalf and we respect his wishes. We will just say that to know him was to love him, and we do. He was a beautiful spirit and will be remembered as a great friend and leader. He always knew what to do, and he did it. We love you, Vern. You will be deeply missed. Vern wanted to express his appreciation to his family and friends, special neighbor, Karla Johnson; Hospice Nurse, Karen Walton; Doctor Farney and Doctor Bond; all for their love and support.Survived by his wife Louise, of Salt Lake, three sons and one daughter, Allen (wife Linda) Eckersley, Hawthorne, Calif., Bryan Eckersley, Clearfield, Utah; Rand (wife Pamela) Eckersley, Salt Lake; Lee (husband Tom) Franks, Salt Lake; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Blaine Eckersley, Salt Lake; Sisters, Jo Lees, Bellevue, Washington; Dorothy Hockett, Salt Lake; " Brother" Brent Hoar, Sandy, Utah. Preceded in death by daughter, Karen Saley, Grandson, Eddie Saley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 1992, 1 p.m. at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, with Bishop Mac Morrell officiating. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to services. Interment,: Larkin Sunset Gardens Valley. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Verns name to the Community Nursing Service/Hospice, 1370 So. West Temple, 84115 or the American Lung Association, 1930 So. 1100 East, 84106
