DEATH: VIRGIL D. ATKINSON

Virgil Delton Atkinson, age 84, of Yuba City, died March 14, 1992 at a Salt Lake City hospital of pneumonia.

He was born September 11, 1907 in Francis, Summit County, Utah, to George Alvin and Pearl Merinda Workman Atkinson. Married Margaret Bird, October 11, 1929; later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died April, 1966. Married Elaine Anderson, 1980 at Yuba City. Carpenter by trade, he had resided in Francis, Utah; San Francisco, and Yuba City, California. Member, LDS Church, served as a Sunday School teacher and Stake High Councilor.Survived by wife, Elaine, Yuba City, Calif.; sons and daughters, Delton G., Granite Bay, Calif.; Karl B., Virgil D., and Mrs. Pat (Carol) Allred, all of Yuba City, Calif.; Mrs. Roy (Lola Jean) Weight, Bountiful; Mrs. Jerry (Shirlene) Barlow, West Valley City; Mrs. Jerry (Annette) Harris, Lehi; Mrs. Ken (Connie) Larkin, Caldwell, Idaho; 44 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Theron W. Atkinson, Francis; Mrs. Bill (Melba) Thomas, Kamas.

Funeral, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 1992, in the Kamas LDS Church, where friends may call Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Graveside and interment will be Thursday, March 19th in the Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, California.
