Joyce Harriett Dyer Burt, our beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, whose love is reflected in the joyful faces of all who love her, died March 15, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes.

She was born December 21, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bertha Emond and the late Ralph W. Dyer. She married Verl West Burt July 2, 1947 in the Logan LDS Temple.She is survived by her mother, Bertha; husband, Verl; children, Mrs. Bruce E. (Danna) Nelson, West Jordan; Mrs. Ren G. (Debbie) Boyce, Farmington; Mr. Kevin V. (Melanie) Burt, Sandy; Mr. Kelly Dyer (Laurie) Burt, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. David J. (Denise) Paul, Holladay; Mr. Kim Dyer (Elizabeth) Burt, Salt Lake City; Mr. Kris Dyer (Ranae) Burt, Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren; brother, Mr. Gene R. (Donna) Dyer, Salt Lake City; sister, Virginia Dyer, Denver, Colo.

Active member of the LDS Church, she served in many capacities. She enjoyed life and serving family and friends. She loved boating, handicrafts and the Utah Jazz.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, March 18, 1992, in the Winder West 4th Ward, 950 East 3825 South. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
