More than 50 deputy sheriffs scoured Kennecott's property Saturday afternoon in hopes of finding clues to the disappearance of a Kennecott security guard.
Sheriff's Lt. Roger Taylor said the search began at 1 p.m. and lasted most of the afternoon. It turned up nothing.Bryan Patrick Ruff, 22, left behind his car, hat and a half-eaten lunch when he disappeared from his guard shack near Barneys Canyon on Dec. 9, 1991. He left behind a wife, who was six months pregnant, and an 18-month-old daughter.
The search covered about one square mile around the guard shack. Ruff is described as 5-foot-7, 110 pounds with a wiry build and blond hair and blue eyes.
