The Utah Valley Regional Family History Center will offer free classes in family-history research on Sunday, March 22.
On the fourth floor of the Lee Library at Brigham Young University, the center is open on the second and fourth Sundays of each month from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.Computer courses offered March 22 will include advanced IBM Personal Ancestry File, 9:30 a.m.; adding records and pedigree searching on PAF, 11 a.m.; modifying, deleting and printing on PAF, 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.; advanced Macintosh PAF, 1 p.m.; PAF special accessories, 1 p.m.; basic overview of computers and PAF workshop, 3 p.m.; notes and documentation on PAF, 3 p.m.; and PAF using Spanish, 3 p.m.
Regular courses available include intermediate research, noon; Spanish research, 2:30 p.m.; name submission, 5 p.m.; and basic research, 5 p.m.
In addition, Helen Clegg will teach a special class on "English Research, Parts 1 through 6" at 4:30 p.m.
