DEATH: WILLARD H. NELSON

Willard Hyrum Nelson, 90, died Tuesday, March 17, 1992 in the Fay Case Nursing home in South Salt Lake.

He was born November 27, 1901 in soda Springs, Idaho, the son of Jeddiah Hyrum and Mary Sophia Louisa Christensen Nelson. He married Ione Cook May 13, 1931 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was educated in Star Valley, Wyoming schools. He also attended Utah State University and received a teaching certificate. He owned and operated Nelson Truck Lines and Distribution. He was the distributor for Standard Oil, and owned and operated Husky Service Station in Spanish Fork. An active member of the LDS Church, he served in the bishopric, and served a mission to Indiana.Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Gordon Keith Nelson, Victorville, Calif.; Mrs. John (Sherma) Campbell, Afton, Wyo.; Gaylon K. Nelson, Littleton, Colo; David C. Nelson, West Valley City; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pearl Nield, Orem. He was preceded in death by a son, Von Dee Nelson; two sisters, and four brothers.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, in the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork. Friends may call Saturday, one hour prior to services. Burial, Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
