Henry M. McCormick, 67, passed away March 17, 1992 in a Salt Lake hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Born November 10, 1924 in Murray, Utah to Melvin E. and Lois L. Turner McCormick.Married Wanda Engebretsen May 20, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a retired president-owner of Machinery Center, Inc. Graduated from U of U. Veteran of World War II. An active member of the LDS Church, he served as an Elders Quorum president, bishops counselor, and high councilman. He was an avid gardener, and a scholar of history.

Survived by wife, Cottonwood; one son and two daughters, S. Michael (Dolly); Erin Magleby (Bruce); MaryEllen Schuman (Ken), all Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren; mother, Salt Lake City; four sisters and three brothers, Elaine Smart

(Lesly), Salt Lake City; Gene (Louise), Phoenix, Ariz.; Barbara Denney, Gilroy, Calif.; Don

(Maureen), Draper; Marian Jackson (Wendell), Provo; Joan Gamble (Melvin), Salt Lake City; Reid, Vernal. Preceded in death by father, grandson, Mathew, and sister-in-law, Pat


Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. Cottonwood 13th Ward, 1830 East 6400 South. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, at the church, 11:30-12:45 p.m.

Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
