Roy E. Likins is the newly elected exalted ruler of the Richfield Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, succeeding Rick Bumcrot.

Other elected officers are Darel Crofts, leading knight; Robert Burrell, loyal knight; Perry Gardner, lecturing knight; James Nowling, secretary; Albert Ricksecker Jr., treasurer; David Mickelson, tiler; John Worley, one-year trustee; and Brent Brown, five-year trustee.Hal Bradley and Pat Ryan were appointed esquire and inner guard, respectively, by the new exalted ruler. Holdover trustees are Art Robinson, John Hales and Kenneth Payne.

Likins is a native of Texas, graduated from Fresno State University in California, and worked in law enforcement in that state until he retired in 1985. His wife, Audrey, formerly lived in Marysvale, Piute County.

He was initiated into the Elks organizing in the Banning-Beaumont Lodge in California in 1982. During his tenure as a member of that lodge and the Richfield Lodge #2420, he has held offices of inner guard, chaplain, lecturing knight, loyal knight and leading knight. He has also been chairman of several committees.
