TIMP CAVE SEEKS COMMENT

Superintendent Susan McGill says Timpanogos Cave National Monument has issued a scoping brochure to gather public comment to help develop a new general management plan and environmental impact statement.

In February 1991 the monument's visitors center and administrative offices burned, forcing the installation of temporary facilities. The National Park Service wants to gather public opinion on critical issues facing the park. The document is being mailed to parties who previously requested information on the project. A copy of the scoping document is available by writing or calling: Superintendent, Timpanogos Cave National Monument, RR3, Box 200, American Fork, UT 84003. Comments are due by April 1.
