James Clark Jensen, age 88, died Wed., March 18, 1992 at his home.

He was born March 4, 1904 in Mantua, Utah to James Christian and

Sarah Ann Jeppsen Jensen. He married Maude Petersen May 19, 1926 in Ogden, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Reared and educated in Garland, Utah, Mr. Jensen graduated from Bear River High School. He has also lived in Ely, Nevada; Salt Lake City from 1934 - 1990 when he moved to St. George, Utah. He had been employed with Western Steel Company as Purchasing Agent. Mr. Jensen was a member of the LDS Church, where he had served as a member of a of a bishopric, MIA and Sunday School Stake Board and many ward offices. He played the trombone in the Salt Lake Letter Carrier Band and the Elks Marching Band for 25 years. He was also a member of Good Sam Trailer Club, enjoyed traveling and for 20 years has spent the winters in Indio, California.Surviving family members include his wife, Maude, St. George; one son and two daughters, James A. Jensen, St. George; Mrs. Norman

(Beverly) Powell, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Mrs.

Kenneth (Janet) Hampton, Salt Lake City; also 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Roy Jensen, Mesa, Ariz.; and Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Higgenbottom, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, 1992, 11 a.m. in the Harvard Ward, 1020 South 2nd East, Salt Lake City, where friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Garland City Cemtery, Garland, 2:30 p.m. under direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
