DEATH: CARL E JACKMAN

Carl E Jackman, 67, died March 21, 1992.

Born January 8, 1925 in Joseph, Utah to Ezbon Laton and Sarah Killarnia Moore Jackman. Married Edna Christiansen September 6, 1946, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of the LDS Church, living in the Mt. Jordan 1st Ward, and currently serving as High Priest Group Leader. He was an Ordinance Worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple, and with his wife served Temple Missions in the Chicago and Atlanta Temples 1987-1988. He was active in Scouting throughout his life, receiving the Silver Beaver and Wood Badge awards. Volunteer firefighter for Sandy City, serving as a Battalion Chief, Safety Officer, and EMT. He was also a first-aid instructor for the Red Cross. Retired from Mountain Bell in 1983. He was, in every sense of the word, a Good Samaritan to all.Survived by wife, Edna; children, Mrs. Alan C. (Karen) Ashton, Cora Lee Rockwood, both Orem; Kenneth Carl Jackman and wife JoAnne, Littleton, Colo.; Brent Lynn Jackman and wife Edith, Gillette, WY; Mrs. Paul (Joyce Ann) Scofield, Orem; 28 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Oma Patterson, Amarillo, Tx.; Enid Norton, Springville; Dale L. Jackman, Bountiful; Dan L. Jackman, Oceanside, Calif; Harvey Jackman, Sugar City, Idaho; Renee Johnson, Rexburg, Idaho.

Preceded in death by sister, Madge Alsop.

Funeral Services Tuesday, March 24, 11 a.m., in the Mt. Jordan 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 8950 So. 400 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Monday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Tuesday one hour prior to services.

Burial, Orem City Cemetery.
