Joe Kresly tied the course record to win the annual Canyonlands Half-Marathon Saturday in Moab.
Kresly covered the 13.1-mile course in 1:07:21, tying the record set by Tim Pilling. Eric Koskinen was second in 1:07:38 and John Mirth third in 1:07:41.Kathy Robinson won the women's race with a time of 1:20:47, followed next by Toby Jacober (1:21:36) and Diane Kresl (1:23:27).
In the day's other event, Shawn Found and Janelle Burgon won the five-mile races. Found won the men's race in 24:59, followed by Gordon Hyde (25:29) and Pilling (25:42). Burgon won the women's race in 28:34. Cindy Brown was second in 30:06 and Gail Driscoll third in 32:28.
A record field of 1,750 entrants turned out for the day's two races.
