DEATH: SPENST C. CHAPMAN

Spenst C. Chapman, age 77, passed away March 22, 1992.

Born September 21, 1915, in Logan, Utah, to John William "Blackburn" and Emma Spenst Chapman. Married Mary Jeannette Gale, 1936; solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded in death, 1952. Married Lenore Johnson Smith, 1955. Member LDS Church. Served as Sunday School Superintendent, Scout Master, home teacher and in the MIA presidency. He was an original member of the Carbon County Sheriff's Posse.Survived by wife; children, Spenst Gale and Verna Chapman; Mark William and Sherrie Chapman; Emma Jean and Thomas Hunter; Estella "Nettie" Jeannette and Jim Thomas Jones; stepsons, Dale J. and Pat Smith; Gary R. and Karen Smith; Lynn J. and Linda Smith; 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thurs., March 26, 1992, 11 a.m., Carbonville LDS Chapel. Friends may call Wed. evening 7 to 9 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and one hour prior to funeral. Burial: Mountain View Cemetery in Helper, Utah.
