George Albert Bloomfield, 77, passed away March 22, 1992 at home after a long illness.

Born April 18, 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Viola Bloomfield. Moved to Salt Lake with his parents and was a graduate of West High School. On March 11, 1939 he married Georgia Lorene Sorensen. Served his country in World War II and was severly wounded in Germany to receive total disability. His decorations included the Bronze Battle Star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, and the World War II Victory Medal.Survived by a loving and caring wife of 53 years, Georgia; his two daughters, Judy, married to Brent R. Jones, Salt Lake City; Vicki, married to Dave Tart, Palm Beach, Florida; four grandchildren; Terri Lyn (Jones) Conway, Chris B. Jones, Melanie and Heather Jonnassen, and four great-grandchildren; two brothers; Randell E. Bloomfield, Donald G. Bloomfield; sisters-in-law; Wilda Spencer, Eva Hansen, Valene Hendrickson; brother-in-law; Ted Sorensen.

In honor of his request, no funeral services

will be held. A visitation with family will be from

1-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mausoleum, 2350 East 1300 South.
