10 ADDITIONAL STUDENTS TO VIE IN SPELLING BEE

Davis School District has added 10 students to its list of six who qualified to compete in the state finals of the National Geographic Society's annual spelling bee.

Only 100 students throughout the state qualified to compete at the competition March 27 at Brigham Young University. Those in Davis who qualified:Adam Parrish, fourth grade, Washington Elementary; Steve Hamilton, fifth grade, Adams Elementary; Devon Rohlfing, eighth grade, Central Davis Junior High; David Stuart, seventh grade, South Davis Junior High; Joey Prinster, sixth grade, Centerville Elementary; Curtis Jensen, fifth grade, Kaysville Elementary; Joshua Johnson, seventh grade, North Layton Junior High; Corban Sims, sixth grade, Orchard Elementary; Robert ZoBell, sixth grade, Valley View Elementary; Caitlin Lane, seventh grade, Centerville Junior High.

The six students announced last week were Eric Widdison, Matthew Newbold, Andrew Gillman, Justin Archibald, Jacob Lloyd and Adam Andrus.
