Three Provo School Board members are up for re-election this year, with voting districts recently realigned according to the 1990 Census.
Individuals wishing to file for a school board seat may do so at the Utah County Elections Office, 100 E. Center St., Provo, until April 15.Incumbents in the districts open for election this fall are Ken Clark, District 2; Ken Matheson, District 3 and Gayle Chandler, District 4. They represent southwest, west-central and east-central Provo, respectively.
Clark and Matheson are finishing up their first four-year terms in office. Chandler was appointed to the board in early 1988 and was elected later that same year.
The boundary adjustment more evenly distributes the population throughout the five districts. Each district now has just more than 17,000 residents.
