The fresh, wet snow that's been falling in the mountains this week proved too great a temptation for Ken Pickett, who lobbed a snowball at Bill Rice while the two were doing construction work near Park City Tuesday morning. Five to 6 inches fell Monday night at Brighton, Park City, Solitude, Snowbird, Deer Valley and Alta. William Alder, meteorologist for the Salt Lake office of the National Weather Service, said temperatures will be near 60 Wednesday, with showers developing late in the day, increasing on Thursday, and lingering into Friday. "Saturday looks like a nice day," Alder said.
