DEATH: DAVID EDWARD REED, SR.

David Edward Reed, Sr., age 40, passed away March 25, 1992, at his home of a lingering illness.

Born June 6, 1951 in San Mateo, Calif. the son of Vern John and Eleanor Billie Kruger Reed. Married Karen Nelson in the Provo LDS Temple June 15, 1973. Graduate of BYU in 1973, Master Education in 1976. Taught lst and 2nd grades at Draper Elementary for 11 years, the 3rd grade at Lone Peak Elementary for two years, and 1st grade for two years at Midvale Elementary.Attained Chartered Financial Consultant Degree in October of 1991. Very active in the LDS Church, loved music, trains, sang with the Utah Opera, and loved children and people in general. He was an avid runner, running 15

marathons.

Survived by his wife, Karen; son David, Jr.; and five daughters, Stephanie, Kathleen, Sally,

Nancy, and Tiffany, all of Sandy; mother, Eleanor B. Reed; brother, Herb C. Reed; sister, Susan Reed, all of Sacramento, Calif.; brother, Steve Reed, Shingle Springs, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 1992 at 12 noon in the Sandy East Stake Center, 9600 South 1700 East. Friends may call Friday evening at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday at the Stake Center from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Utah AIDS Foundation, 1408 So. 1100 East, SLC, UT 84105.
