LITERARY MAGAZINE AT BRIGHTON HIGH WINS NATIONAL AWARD

Brighton High School's literary magazine, Runes, was honored as a Gold Crown Award winner in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association competition for the 1990-91 year. Of 457 entries, Runes was one of two high school magazines chosen to receive the Gold Crown Award.

The Gold Crown winners in any category of student publication represent the top 5 percent in the country. The competition is sponsored by Columbia University, which presented plaques to winners.
