Dolores G. Wheeler, president and chief executive officer of Gossner Foods Inc., Cache County, has been elected a director of Key Bancshares of Utah Inc. and Key Bank of Utah.

"Ms. Wheeler has an excellent background in business and strong entrepreneurial skills," said Ross E. Kendell, president and chief executive officer. "Her special experience and expertise will enable her to provide valuable input to our boards."Wheeler has 26 years experience in the dairy business. She began working at the Gossner Cheese Factory when the company began operations in 1966. She has participated in its growth from a small, family owned business to a Cache Valley corporation with 288 employees.

Gossner's sales have expanded beyond northern Utah to include all western states, Texas and Florida. Sales of UHT milk, fluid milk that requires no refrigeration and has a shelf life of a year, include national and international customers.

Wheeler is secretary/treasurer of the Utah Manufacturers Association and is a member of the Logan Rotary Club. She is a past director of the Logan/Cache Chamber of Commerce. She is a native of Shulburgs, Wis., but was educated in Cache Valley and is a graduate of North Cache High School.

She and her husband, Allen G. Wheeler, live on their farm in Lewiston. They have two married daughters and seven grandchildren, all residing in northern Utah.
