MTN. FUEL BEGINS 7 SOUTHERN UTAH PROJECTS

Mountain Fuel Supply Co. began construction on seven southern Utah projects this week.

Construction had been scheduled to commence March 2 but was held up when the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission failed to give Kern River Gas Transmission Co. permission to allow Mountain Fuel to tap into a high-pressure natural gas transmission line now under construction. That line will run from southwestern Wyoming to Kern County, Calif., when complete.Mountain Fuel has been conducting interest surveys and customer signups in areas of Beaver, Millard, Iron and Washington counties in anticipation of the new service lines being installed.

Seven tap lines will eventually be constructed beginning with one that will serve Delta, Leamington and Lynndyl in Millard County.
