A one-day bus tour featuring Carbon County is being sponsored by the Utah State Historical Society and American Heritage Tours on Thursday, April 9.
The tour is entitled "Land of Three Heritages" and will explore the Mormon, mining and ethnic heritages of the region. The tour includes visits to the Helper Mining Museum, the College of Eastern Utah's Prehistoric Museum, former coal camps and historic sites in Helper and Price. Allan Kent Powell, a historian with the Utah State Historical Society, will be the tour guide.Buses will leave the Utah State Historical Society at 8 a.m. and return by early evening.
