N. Ramani, India's foremost flutist of the Carnatic style of music, will bring his artistry to Salt Lake City on Friday, April 3. In company with violinist Kanyakumari and percussionist Guruvayur Dorai, he will perform in the Bryant Intermediate School theater, 40 S. 800 East, at 7:30 p.m.
Ramani, who makes his home in Madras, began life as a child prodigy, giving his first public performance at the age of 8. Ramani has received several awards for his accomplishments, including a doctor of arts from the World University in Arizona.Tickets, available at Smith'sTix or at the door, are $10 for regular seating, $15 for preferred seating and $6 for students.
