SANPETE HOSPITAL GETS $3,000 DONATION

Central Utah Telephone Co., which has its headquarter here, has presented the Sanpete Valley Hospital with a $3,000 contribution that will help purchase a piece of state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Rhea Stewart, chairman of the Sanpete Hospital Foundation board, said the $3,000 will help the IHC hospital obtain much-needed laparoscopic equipment.Branch Cox, president of Central Utah Telephone, said the donation makes sense because the hospital and his company serve the same people, principally residents of northern Sanpete County.

Central Utah Telephone was founded in 1919. Privately owned by the Cox family, it has eight employees. It previously contributed toward the 911 system.
