Our beloved Afton James Rex, 77, passed away March 2, 1992.

She was born Jan. 17, 1915 in Evanston, Wyoming to Walter L. and

Lillie Irene Fernelius James. Married Benjamin Richard Rex, Sept. 2, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in Randolph, Utah and moved to Draper in 1983. She was active in the LDS Church serving in many callings, including pianist and organist, ward choir director, and as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple. She worked with the County Farm Bureau serving on the Dairy Princess Committee.She is survived by her husband; six children, Ferrin J. and Esther Rex; Jeanette and Marvin Jones; Richard T. and Verlene Rex; Lowell B. and Jenny Rex; Janice and Bruce Pease; Bradley W. and Sheryl Rex; 31 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Bernice McKinnon, Charles Hunt, Delma Howe, Helen Marie Champlin, and Louis Hunt.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 1992 at 12 noon in the Draper 6th Ward, 1617 East 12700 South. Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, and Thursday 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the Ward.
