TRAFFIC STOP IN AM.F. YIELDS GUNS, MARIJUANA, 3 ARRESTS

Police arrested three men and seized guns and 21 pounds of marijuana in a traffic stop last week.

Officer Phil Terry pulled the men over at 200 W. Pacific Drive, two blocks from the police department, about 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 26. Terry was then joined by Sgt. Sam Liddiard and the two officers noticed guns partially hidden the car.A search of the vehicle after it was impounded yielded the marijuana valued at $42,000, he said. "Sometimes we think there aren't any drugs in Utah County," Durrant said.

Arrested were Ronald Lee Gorecki, 29, Provo; Bobby D. Green, 21, Pleasant Grove; and Richard B. Thompson, 40 American Fork. Thompson was released from prison about 24 hours before the incident. The suspects will be prosecuted federally.
