Two men robbed a Taco Time and threatened two employees with a gun at 10:20 Saturday night.

The employees were working at the fast food restaurant, 6200 S. Highland, when they heard someone knocking on the back door and yelling, a sheriff's report said. One of the employees opened the door and asked what was going on. Two men asked him if he owned one of the cars in the parking lot and said someone was "messing around with the car."

When the employee looked out the door at the car, the two men ran at him. He tried to close the door, but one of the men got his foot in the door and fired a shot into the restaurant. The employee released the door in hopes of preventing someone from being shot, the report said.
