GIRL'S ARM REATTACHED

A doctor reattached a 14-year-old farm girl's forearm after it was torn off by a manure spreader.

Dr. John Seabright, who reattached the arm, said Hope Hughes probably will regain the use of her arm and hand. The girl was listed in fair condition Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital.

The teen was helping her father lubricate the spreader on Saturday at their farm in Nashville, about 100 miles west of Detroit, when her clothes snagged and her arm was drawn into the machine.
