TEENS FIGHT ADDICTIONS BY TYING QUILTS FOR HOMELESS

Teenagers who are fighting addictions are "tying" community service into their recoveries.

The adolescents at LifeLine, a drug and alcohol center, have already made three quilts to donate to the homeless shelter. They intend to make more - working with volunteers in the community every Friday "until we get tired of it," said LifeLine's Wendy Ruppel."You don't usually think of kids with these problems helping others," she said. "But they're really excited about it."
