DEATH: MARCELLA (CELLA) ALLEN

Marcella (Cella) Allen, 81, passed away at the home of her niece, where she was cared for by her family.

She was born September 23, 1910, in Huntsville, Utah, a daughter of John Hyrum and Mary Yeaman Allen. She was raised in Huntsville and later moved to Ogden with her parents where she had resided for the remainder of her life. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1929. She was a member of the LDS Church and had done missionary work and was a Sunday School teacher. She held various positions in the Business and Professional Womens Organizations. She worked as a volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans; Veterans Hospital and St. Benedict's Hospital. She was named Bonneville High's Basketball Team Mother in 1968. She had been a switchboard and profit and loss clerk for Swift and Company. She was also a salesclerk for ZCMI.She took an active part in life, participating in the lives of all those who loved her. She was an inspiration in death as well as in life. She will be greatly missed by all those who's lives she has touched.

"You are our most precious jewel, Cella. We love you and we'll miss you more than we could say".

Surviving are two nephews and three nieces, Clyde Baker, Bruce Baker, Claudia Baker, Leslie Salmons and Bonnie Sisson; also a cousin, Blaine Downs.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday,

6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 12-12:45 p.m. Interment: Ogden City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers she asked that donations be made to Primary Childrens Hospital in her name.
