UVCC ENROLLMENT OF 9,213 FOR SPRING IS ALL-TIME HIGH

Utah Valley Community College now has more students than at any other time in its 51-year history.

The final head count for spring semester was 9,213, according to an enrollment study by UVCC's Office of Institutional Research and Strategic Planning. The figure is a 5 percent increase over fall semester and a 16 percent increase over enrollment for spring of 1991."Another record-breaking enrollment at UVCC points to the growing need for higher education within the state of Utah," said President Kerry Romesburg. "The need for higher education will continue to increase and illustrates the demand for trained workers in the workplace."

General education and allied health are the fastest-growing areas. Enrollment in those areas increased 22 percent and 19 percent, respectively, in the past year.
