DEATH: CLAUDE E. BINGHAM

Claude E. Bingham, 86, died March 3, 1992, in a Salt Lake hospital.

Born December 29, 1905, Wilson Lane, Ogden, Utah, to Erastus and Hilda Bonnerue Bingham. Married Della Elva Patterson, April 10, 1929, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died February 3, 1969. He then married Myrtle Higley, September 1972. She died November 8, 1980. He was a High Priest and active in the LDS Church. Served in a number of positions in the church, including stake Young Mens President, member of the Bishopric. He and Della raised their family in Burley, Idaho, where he retired as an employee of the Amalgated Sugar Co. He later moved to Salt Lake City to be with family members. He loved to meet new people and was a friend to everyone.Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister. Survived by two sons, Dr. Richard C. Bingham, Fresno, California; Keith P. Bingham, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Mrs. G. Larry (Kathleen) Failner, Salt Lake City; one brother, Merlin Bingham, Ogden; two sisters, Edna Parke, Oregon City, Oregon; Vera DeWitt, Sparks, Nevada; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Saturday, March 7, 1992, 12 noon in the Burley Second Ward LDS Chapel, 515 East 16th Street, Burley, Idaho. Friends may call Friday, March 6, 6-8 p.m. at the McCulloch Funeral Home, 321 East Main, in Burley and at the church 11-11:45 a.m. Saturday. Burial: Pleasant View Cemetery, Burley, Idaho.
