I died today, March 5, 1992, at 2:10 p.m., at the age of 38, of complications related to my fight against AML Leukemia. I had only been married to my lovely wife Julie for two and one half years, but we had a lovely son who brought us great joy. His name is Jonathan Shiro and he was born 10 weeks ago.I was born July 4, 1953, in Oakland, California. When I was three years old my parents adopted me. I grew up in Cutler, California. I was a faithful member of the LDS Church and loved by my ward and stake family. The greatest happiness in my life was when I was sealed to my wife, Julie and son Jonathan, on January 29, 1992, in the Salt Lake Temple.
I am survived by my wife, Julie; my three sons, Craig D., Jr., Bradly Tyler and Jonathan Shiro; my parents, Robert and Mary Shiba; a brother, Joey Shiba; uncle Herb and aunt Rose Abe; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
My graveside services will be held on Monday, March 9, 1992, at 11 a.m., at Larkin Sunset Gardens of the Valley on 10600 So. 1700 East. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
