Stanley E. Murphy, age 87, died March 6, 1992, in Holladay, Utah.
One of eight children, he was born December 6, 1904 in Maaslion, Ohio to Henry and Elizabeth Labbe Murphy. Graduated from the University of Utah, where he was athletic manager for Ike Armstrong, and president of Sigmi Chi Fraternity. He moved to Washington, D.C., where he was secretary to Senator Elbert Thomas. He then relocated to Los Angeles, California to work in property management.He moved to Salt Lake City in 1970, where he resided until the time of his death.
Survived by three nieces and one nephew, Marilyn M. Farrell, Holladay; Patricia Mears, Fairfax, Virg.; Carolyn Reynolds, Park City; Jay G. Bachman, Eden, Ut. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a favorite charity.
A memorial services will be held Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at the Neil O'Donnel & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-7 p.m. prior to services.
