A cab driver was robbed, bound and thrown into the East River but managed to free himself and help police track down one of two teenagers he said assaulted him.
Delroy Grange, 32, told police the teenagers bound his hands with duct tape, walked him to the end of a pier at gunpoint and pushed him into 40 feet of water, said Officer Scott Bloch.Grange wrapped his legs around a piling and freed his hands, authorities said. He made it to shore and called for help.
The cabbie drove with officers until he spotted two teenagers driving his cab in the Bronx, police said. The youths told police another man had given them the car.
