Davis County Commission

In its meeting Monday, the commission:

- Denied a request to annex property in the county's northwest quadrant into the North Davis Sewer District. The property lies below the elevation of the district's trunk line and would require construction and operation of a pump station.

- Approved job training program renewals submitted by county human services director Rich Nelson under the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA), administered by the county and funded by the state.

- Approved a $4,400 budget transfer for disk drive purchases by the information services department.

- Approved appointment of Randy Orawiec of the Clinton Police Department as a deputy county constable.

- Approved two drug enforcement contracts for $9,000. The county sheriff's department will provide drug enforcement services on adjacent U.S. Forest Service property.
