Reed Douglas Andrew, age 90, passed away April 14, 1992 in Salt Lake City.
He was born February 7, 1902 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Robert Fisher and Ada Stevenson Gibby Andrew. Married Lillian Burton Sept. 8, 1926 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served an LDS Mission to Italy with his sweetheart Lillian. Reed received his call as Stake Patriarch in Detroit, Michigan and also served as patriarch in the Salt Lake Olympus Stake. His family remembers him for a life of honor, dignity and love.Reed is survived by his wife, Lillian, Salt Lake City; sons, Douglas Burton Andrew, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; Neil Harding (Thurza) Andrew, Chico, Calif.; Reed Chadwick (Janice) Andrew, Porthee, Wis.; Stevenson (Lydia) Andrew, Durham, New Hampshire; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, Robert Burton Andrew and three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 1992, 11 a.m. at the Olympus 8th Ward, 2676 East 4430 So. Friends may call Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 So. Highland Dr., and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Wasatch Lawn. Funeral directors: MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary.
