To the editor:
Rep. Wayne Owens says it was merely stupid of him to write insufficient funds checks. Better would it be to recognize the selfishness of such acts and know that we citizens prefer not to have a representative who is either stupid or selfish. Perhaps it is time for Owens to come down from his high position and be responsible, like those whom he proposes to represent.Orville Gunther
