As part of National Credit Education Week, a free panel discussion on credit will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the Salt Lake Public Library, 209 E. 500 South.
Panel members are Mary Martinez, assistant vice president, Key Bank of Utah; Curtis L. Doman, president, Granite Credit Union; Kathleen Buford, sales representative of Trans Union Corp.; C. Dee Sandgren, registered representative of Plan America; Kathy Casterline, collection manager of Utah Central Credit Union; Loralee Brady, certified credit counselor for the Consumer Credit Counseling Service; and attorney Richard C. Terry.The Utah Association of Collectors Inc., also had an essay contest in connection with the week. Winning $100 for first place was Ryan Wood, Jordan High School. Others winners were Erin Jacobs, Hillcrest High School, second, $50; Robert Hanlan, Hillcrest High School, third place, $25; and Kathie Nylander, Taylorsville High School, honorable mention.
