Like, is Wayne Owens hip or what? He has a primo new invitation to a fund-raiser that has an excellent drawing of Dana Carvey and himself by the Capitol under the title, "Wayne's World."

The cartoon has Carvey - dressed as he appears in the movie, "Wayne's World" - saying, "Wayne's on his way to the U.S. Senate." Rep. Owens, D-Utah, is drawn next to him saying "excellent."Invitees to the May 6 dinner at Washington's Dubliner Restaurant are told that to be a "benefactor el primo," individuals should give $250 and political action committees should give $1,000.

If they prefer to be a "sponsor extraordinaire," it will cost individuals only $500 and PACs $100.

To be just a "donor par excellance," individuals need give only $50 and PACs $250, which is dirt cheap - not.

"I'm not sure Wayne actually knows who Dana Carvey is, or if he's seen the invitation yet," said Owens' press secretary, Art Kingdom. "But we do our best to make sure he stays up on what's hip."

Some of the dinner's sponsors also look like party dudes - including Owens' one-time boss, Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., whose partying during last year's spring break in Florida made headlines.
