SHARE Y. SEMINAR WILL DISCUSS HOW TO `WIN’ ON THE JOB

An internationally recognized consultant and lecturer in the field of goal-setting and profit improvement will present two lectures on "The Game of Work."

The lectures by Chuck Coonradt are Thursday, May 7, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in Room 710 of Brigham Young University's Tanner Building.Coonradt will examine why people often work harder at sports and athletic endeavors than they do at their jobs. He says this is because feedback is not constant, and the effort to win is not always recognizable at work.

Coonradt will take the winning techniques of recreation and apply them to the workplace, which increase profitability and productivity, he says. The one-hour seminars will offer a look at motivation, feedback, areas of control, how to set up a results-to-resources system, goal-setting and learning how to win every day.

The discussion is part of the Executive Lecture Series sponsored by the Marriott School of Management.
