Retail magnate Sam Walton, one of the world's richest men, celebrated his birthday this week in a hospital room.
The founder and chairman of the Arkansas-based Wal-Mart Inc. checked in to University Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for incurable bone cancer diagnosed three years ago.Walton was admitted last week for what spokesman Don Shinkle called "ongoing treatment for multiple myeloma" - malignant tumors in the bone marrow.
Walton turned 74 Sunday and celebrated with family in his room at the hospital.
