Daniel Duane VanOpdorp, age 50, passed away April 4, 1992 in a Sandy, Utah hospital of heart failure.
He was born February 26, 1942 in Geneseo, Illinois to Wilford and Evelyn Crograt VanOpdorp. Daniel married Sharon Kay Bonte in Rock Island, Illinois on November 19, 1966. Daniel was a Program Manager in the Aerospace industry and was employed at E-Systems in Salt Lake City. A member of the Salt Lake Christian Center, he also was a member of the Glendale Men's Golf Association. Daniel and Sharon are former residents of Mission Viejo, California.Survivors: wife, Sharon, Sandy; children, Scott, San Diego, California; Tammy, Fort Collins, Colorado; mother, Geneseo, Illinois; brother, Jim, Geneseo, Illinois; sister, Pat Floming, Moline, Illinois; mother-in-law, Grace Bonte, Sandy, Utah; also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services Tuesday, April 7, 1992, at 1:00 p.m. in the Salt Lake Christian Center 4300 South 700 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Sandy City Cemetery.
