SHARE 800 STUDENTS WILL COMPETE FOR UTAH VOCATIONAL AWARDS

About 800 high school and college students will compete in a variety of vocational areas during the State Vocational Industrical Clubs of America meeting Tuesday and Wednesday, April 7 and 8, at Salt Lake Community College.

The 25th Leadership and Skill Olympics will begin with an opening session at 2 p.m. Tuesday and then involves VICA members in more than 20 vocationally oriented competitions, from air-cooled engine repair to welding. Awards will be presented at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Utah winners will go on to national competition.
