Earl Clark Bird, 75, died on April 7, 1992 in Tucson, Arizona.

Born January 13, 1917 in Springville, Utah, son of Walter Elliott Bird and Leona Clark. Raised in Springville, summers spent in survey camps of Southern Utah with father, Elliott. Graduated from South High School in 1935. Married Helen Goates in 1941, and enlisted in the Navy in 1942, serving in Pearl Harbor until 1945. Following Helen's death in 1946, Clark met and fell in love with Ruth Chadwick Reeve. They married October 7, 1948.Clark worked for Graybar Electric for 40 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Clark loved his family, Lake Powell, and walks in Sahuaro Monument. He was loved for his honesty, wit, concern for others, and genuine kindness.

His opinion was valued by many.

Survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Dennis Clark (Linda), Escondido, Calif.; Lee Clark, Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Ponce Madden, Salt Lake City; and Diana Bird Holt (Douglas), Tucson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; sister, Marie Sopher (Stan), McGill, Nev.

Funeral services, Saturday, April 11, 12 noon, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. Friends may call one hour before the services.

Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
