Virginia Saunders Hunt, 76, died May 21, 1992 near Munich, Germany from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Born September 21, 1915 in Salt Lake City to Ephraim Louis and Rhoda Pearl Saunders. Served LDS Canadian Misson in Ontario and Quebec, 1937-39. Employed for the IRS in Washington, D.C. and for the CIA when she returned to Salt Lake. Later worked at East High School.Married Charles Eldon Hunt, May 25, 1950, Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they served a mission to Hungary with headquarters in Vienna, Austria, 1981-83. They were visiting the countries and special friends they loved, when the accident occured. Served in many church positions, including Relief Society president and YWMIA president. Loved gardening, sewing for granchildren, and cooking great family dinners. She had a great energy for life that motivated others. Her grandchildren, nieces and nephews adored her for her efforts to help them succeed and develop self-worth. Her loyalty to her friends was witnessed by their outpouring of love and concern since the accident. Sincere thanks go out to each one on behalf of her family.

Survivors: husband; son, Steven and wife Patricia; daughter, Marsha Buccambuso and husband Terry; brothers and sister, Leon and Owen Saunders, Louise Haycock; nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers and sister, Mervin, Leslie, and Rhoda Saunders.

The funeral will be held shortly after Eldon is healthy enough to return to Salt Lake. A "Hunt Family Trust" fund for Eldon's medical expenses has been set up at Zion's Bank for those who would prefer to contribute in this manner in lieu of flowers. Funeral directors, Larkin Mortuary.
