Ethel Faith Rudd Mitchell, age 76, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, died peacefully at home in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 8, 1992.

Faith was born to John W. and Evelyn Rudd in Skelton-in-Cleveland, Yorkshire, England on August 25, 1915. She was 10th of 13 children. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church and enjoyed most her callings as Ward chorister and primary teacher. During World War II, her home in Brighton, England was a second home to many American and Canadian LDS servicemen, and to LDS missionaries in the decade following the war. She emigrated with her family to Utah in 1957. She worked as a matron for the Salt Lake School District for many years, retiring in 1978.Survived by her husband of 55 years, William E. Mitchell; their four children, Michael, Anthony (Sue), and Paul Mitchell, Salt Lake City; and Dawn (Gary) Miner, Provo; three sisters, Kathleen Annie Featherstone and Rachel Molly Baxter, Salt Lake City; and Evelyn Jessie Richardson, Guisborough, England; also 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, of whom she was very proud.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 13, 11 a.m. in the Park Stake 10th Ward, 410 South 800 East, Salt Lake City. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Friday, 6-8 p.m., and at the ward Saturday, from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road.
