Women tend to make better financial decisions than men, according to Money Magazine. The magazine reports that 56 percent of American married women now pay all the family bills, and 95 percent make financial decisions jointly with their husbands.

The magazine also cites five characteristics that make good money managers that are mroe commonly found in women: they ask questions, they seek help, they avoid risk, they do homework, they set goals.
