A building owned by councilman Milt Harmon on Nephi's Main Street will be the home of the new Snow College Economic Development Office and the city downtown renovation project office.
"I will donate the Foote Building (which he owns) free of charge to the city for six months," said Harmon.Snow College will supply some equipment - tables, chairs and a computer - to furnish the office areas.
Harmon said others in the community were given the opportunity to donate office space, but there had not been "a lot of response."
Harmon said the building would need a little cleaning up but could be ready for use soon.
The economic development office will serve as a resource for area businesses in making improvements and developing skills needed to operate more effectively.
The renovation project will focus on rehabilitating the historic downtown area of Nephi.
